Hi Everyone. On the 25th November, I will be running in the Norwich Half-Marathon (13.1 miles) in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. A couple of my friends have the condition and one was fortunate to receive a new pair of lungs from a donor, when things weren't looking good, so this is a great cause, and anything that can be done to help out this charity would be much appreciated. I know money can be a problem for people in these tight economic times, but if anyone can spare a few precious pounds to sponsor me, I would be very appreciative. www.virginmoneygiving.com/Richardthethird3I have not done a lot of exercise for the last few months, but I want to complete the course in under 1hour 45mins, so I am going to be putting in several hours of training a week, and changing my diet (which believe me is a struggle), so anything you can spare would be great

I too, will sponsor you Sardith. hey i could even pop up there and cheere you on! Oooh you could, and bring a couple of cakes to help me recover I'm trying to be good in the run up, not drinking too much beer, or eating desserts etc, so I will be somewhat deprived. Thanks to those who have donated, everything is appreciated And I am currently training quite hard...out doing something almost every day. Tomorrow is the first long run to see how far/fast I can go...thursday could be painful.

I have been running 11.5 miles every tuesday for the last month as well as football on saturdays and a couple of gym sessions a week with nice long sauna sessions at the end, so it's going quite well. This week is a rest week...I have one gym session planned and football on saturday but with 3 gigs in 7 days, my body will have been through enough by monday! Thanks all for your support...it's reassuring when gearing up to run on a cold, dark evening!

Only 4 days left to go now...I'm actually feeling a little nervous which is ridiculous as I know I can do it. My last real run was last week and only 10 miles, I've got one light gym session left tonight and then that's it. Letting my body rest and re-fuel until sunday now so that I will be on form.
I'm hoping the weather improves as it is raining at the moment, and I haven't done any training in the rain. Sunday morning is currently looking very cold, around 6 degrees which will be a challenge in itself as the body works harder to stay warm and so drains energy more quickly than usual.
Keep your fingers crossed for me!
