Yes.. I just want to rant that being ill sucks.. especially when mother drags you around Tesco for an hour, then to Argos... then to Matalan. Then gets you to put together a flat pack.
Told Mother back sore need to lie down, all I get is 5 more minutes, you can go home when finished. Cheers mother!
However does mean I've done my duties at Mothers so I have the weekend free

To get the ball rolling I'm going to tell you about my dealings with the charming people at parcel force. I've been waiting ages for the next batch of fan club tees to arrive. Ages. Our printer has had a few issues which are thankfully resolved and he posted out the tees I ordered, but they've not arrived.
I chased our printer as it had been nearly a month since he said he had posted the tees and was told they'd been sent and his tracking information said they were in the UK. So we waited another few days, no parcel. He then contacts the company he posted through and asked them to chase it, turns out it was at my local post office. No problem I thought, I'll give them a ring and organise to get it redelivered the next day.
I got through to a lady who as soon as I told her my address said: I recognise you're address, it's near a friend of mine, I sent it back to parcel force yesterday. I asked, how long had it been with you? She told me 15 days and that I got a letter from them telling me and parcel force left me some notifications. Not the case, I have heard nothing.
And then I had to speak to parcel force, to stop the parcel being sent back out the country. Well speak is an over statement, I had a ten minute argument with a machine who couldn't understand a word I said: if you've met me, you'll know that I am pretty clearly spoken. After going through hundreds of sub-menus, and having entered more numbers than digits in pi, I finally spoke to a human. Now don't get me wrong, I think it is a fabulous policy of corporate social responsibility to only employ village idiots, but it means customer service is somewhat lacking. After trying to explain that I hadn't received any notifications that they'd tried to deliver, I was told that was impossible because the driver had "ticked the box that said he had". I had to bit my tongue from saying that if I tick the box saying "Dr" on a form, it doesn't mean I've got a phd. Anyway, after half and hour of basically being told I was lying and ignoring their "we missed you" slips, I got put through to the glasgow office to finally try and track down the parcel. Thankfully the guy at the Glasgow office wasn't totally devoid of intelligence. Unlike the call centre bimbo, he had at least two brain cells to rub together. He told me the parcel would be redelivered today and everything would be fine.
So I've spend the whole day in my flat, waiting for the buzzer to go. I've waited. And I've waited. And I've waited. And the buzzer hasn't sounded. I know when I call them tomorrow, I'll be told they tried to deliver the parcel. I know they'll tell me they left a little slip saying they tried to deliver the parcel. I know they'll say it is my fault. And I know I'll be even more pissed off.
Basically to summarise how I feel about Parcelforce:
Dear Parcelforce, you are the worst people in the world, yours sincerely, Alex.
Membership packs will be sent out after I have had another battle with the call centre from hell and somehow manage to get my hands on this parcel.

Oh man, that sucks! Parcel companies are often a nightmare, I really don't understand it. I've had them lie about leaving a "sorry you were out" card on several occasions. Grr! >:-( Well, I was in a rubbish mood due to Sonisphere being cancelled but I realised that when I get money back I can go for one day of Download instead and see Nightwish! However their application process for their Disabled tickets it unnecessarily complicated and stressful compared to the Sonisphere one, and you have to pay for a ticket before they even let you know if you qualify rather than the other way round. And now I'm worried that I might not even get my money back before the whole festival sells out! Argh!

I ordered some jeans from Asda George which I arranged to pick up from my local store.. ordered on 14th and was told it would be in the store from 17th March, before then I would get a text and email to say the item was in the store ready to collect. Anyway this week I got an email saying "please rate your product".. what product??? how can I rate something I haven't got yet? So I went down the my local store 3 times especially during the week and asked if my jeans had arrived.. but was told they were definitely still in transit to the store and not their fault. Anyway I gave in and phoned the customer service dept to find out what had gone on.. I finally found out from the customer service that my jeans 'were' at my local store and that I could collect them. Turns out when they had originally got the item .. nobody had bothered to booked them in on the computer hence no text or email.. and because they believed that it the item wasn't 'wanted' as they weren't claimed they were just about to be returned to the warehouse and had to be retrieved from the back of the van *sigh*. At last I have my jeans though which is good.. just annoyed I wasted time and phone call costs on chasing an item when I shouldn't have to have done.

ok new grumble from me Sunday 1st I somehow managed to get a trapped/pinched nerve in my shoulder which was utter agony as the pain is in my neck, shoulder and left arm.. well today I still have it although most of the swelling has eased so at least now I can move but I'm still in pain and apart from pain killers (which hardly work) there isn't much I can do about it at the moment unless it's still like this in a few weeks as it's just something time has to heal or else will have to go for a scan and see what can be done, anyway all I really wanna do atm is soak in a nice hot bath problem is we have no hot water or heating and haven't done for almost a week Last Thursday (5th) our boiler packed in and almost flooded the kitchen.. engineer came out that night and said we needed a new part but because of Easter it wouldn't be until Tue 10th .. so no hot water or central heating till then and the weather had gone really cold by now then got a call to say it would be the Wed instead.. so waited in all day today with no show phoned again and was told they couldn't give me a date with it being a 'part' on order and all they could do for now is send someone to lend us little blow heaters.. well good job we have elec fires and a shower to tide us over, but still all I want is a nice hot bath to ease my shoulder, so got to wait again now until they turn up so still in pain and cold and rather fed up atm

Nothing to do with Nightwish but my "get it off your chest DAY" was yesterday cos I travelled from Liverpool to London, starting off at 3am, to see my football team Everton play in an FA Cup Semi Final at Wembley and We lost ot our deadliest rivals, that was the worst day for a long time, when I got home many hours later, tired and fed up I opened a beer and put Dark Chest Of Wonders on full blast and life was not too bad after all

Here's my moan for today!!! After cancelling my Orange mobile contract back in January they had the cheek to write to me and say I still owe them money for the last 3 months!!!!! Amounting to £95. I decided to give them a call :/ resulting in being passed from pillar to post and back again, after an hour of being passed around I finally get to speak to the "manager" and get him to re cancel my contract, but he still expected me to pay the £95 Hmmmmm It takes a lot get me angry but that really did wind me up. I asked him to check up and confirm that I rang back in January, he agrees I did, and then says it's my fault that it was not cancelled. Well after another 10 mins of complaining to him and not giving up he then decides to pay the money I owe as a good will gesture Finally!!!! I can't remember the last time I was so stressed out, they don't make it easy. Rant over ;p

My job is sooo demeaning and rubbish. Had an argument with my boss. sarted off really petty and kind of escalated into saying what we really felt. (well not quite on my part) lol I sooo wanted to say "you know what? do it yourself then. or find someone else to be your skivy" I want to quit i really do. im better than there, by a loooong way. Im taken for granted and if i left, ohhh how would they be able go off on holiday once a month? ooooh and they might actually have to work for a change.
Rant over, *goes to look for new job*

I feel your pain Rozzy...it sounds like you are in a similar situation to me. I have been massively over-worked for the last 18 months (kind of why I'm not active on here...I can't bare to get on a PC much when I get home unless it's to watch iPlayer) and I have brought up my issues at my last 2 reviews and nothing has been done, my bosses just don't give a toss. Now they have start blaming me for being behind in my work and saying I should have brought it to their attention. It made me so annoyed. I put in loads of unpaid extra hours in the last year because there were major deadlines and they wouldn't authorise me over time...and now they are trying to get me to do overtime to get on top of my workload. It has got to the point now where I really couldn't care less...if deadlines are missed, it's not my fault, I'm not going out of my way to solve the problems they created by ignoring my calls for help. My boss is a racist who always turns up to work stinking of alcohol, he frequently disappears off-site for half an hour at a time, turns up late, or just goes home early without telling anyone. I've started looking for something new too...no luck just yet though. Keep your head up...it's not worth letting them get to you!!!
