Evanescence is back 8/9/2011 there will be a new single 'What You Want' realease with an album due 10/11/2011 and for those who don't mind spending £32.50 you can see AmyLee in action with Pretty Reckless and Fair to Midland supporting. Check out her UK tour dates: I'm undecided about going as her last album The Open Door was mediocre at best although Fallen was a great album but I'm not sure how she will sound with her 'new' band behind her and imho she has neglected her fans and the music scene too long.

I'm tempted... Although I do remember reading an interview in which she said the album would have Electro influences.. :S

i think the break will have done amy lee good and i'm sure the new album will see her back to the heights of the fallen album, but i didnt mind open door there are some good tracks on there notably lithium.as for the tour can't really affford it as already paid for hotel and beer money for next saturday's meet up and Alter bridge tickets in november.

I was tempted until I noticed the price.. if it was cheaper then I would go just to see her in action.

I woke up on the Wednesday morning for O2 Priority tickets, haha. I love Evanescence and have waited years to see them, so there's no way I'm missing this. Plus Taylor Momsen supporting... And the new Evanescence single is really good anyway, so hopefully the album keeps up that standard. I wasn't too keen on The Open Door, but it wasn't bad.

well here is the new single from the new album:
Quite a good song song but imho Amy Lee does just one or two killer tracks on an album and the rest are mediocre. What do you guys think of this single?

I love it, and the album's not bad either. Not enough ballads seems to be the main complaint. No I didn't download it. Yes I know people who did

I'm refusing to listen to the album until it is released. I am terrified that it will be as bad as the Open Door I have to say I do like What You Want and I really liked Together Again, which was better than anything she left on The Open Door. Anyway in anticipation of the new album I decided to go see Evanescence while I was in Germany going to see WT. I hope Ms. Lee has learned some techniques to breathe while singing.

It's definitely better than The Open Door. I don't know what she was thinking with that...

Had a quick listen this morning on spotify, from what I've heard it sounds ok. Will have to go out and buy it!

I bought the album yesterday. Only listened to the first 12 songs. It is a massive improvement on The Open Door, which was muck in my humble opinion. I miss the strings and choirs from their old days, but its still decent. My favourite song so far is the piano-lead rocky sound of My Heart is Broken.
