After what feels like an even longer wait than Chinese Democracy, Fight Like a Girl finally has a release date of just 10 days away.
Anyone excited?
I was a big fan of Opheliac, and her live show in particular. I've seen her twice, both different shows, and they're very unconventional rock performances. More like musicals, in fact.
I'm glad to finally have more tracks to liste to. As good as Opheliac is, I don't like listening to the same thing over and over again.

Have you heard Enchant or any of her instrumental albums or EPs? Not that I'm particularly a big fan of hers but I wondered as you said you have to listen to Opheliac over and over! I know some people say Enchant is her best album. I haven't heard it myself.

Yeah...I don't really consider Enchant to be part of her canon though. She NEVER acknowledges it live and her whole persona has changed. Plus, the music is really different. Enchant is quite fairytale like and dreamy. Opheliac is...not!
It is good though and I've played it to death as well. Even the 4 O'Clock EP is played to death. I get ratty when bands take ages to release new material, haha. Makes me go off them.

Hehe XD So what's Fight Like A Girl like? I've been hearing Lady Gaga comparisons...

Lady Gaga comparisons?! Really? O_o Lol. I've only heard 'Fight Like a Girl' (the album) once, but I'm not convinced it's comparable to Lady Gaga... X) Does anyone know if she plans to come to the UK again next year or something as she's now released the new album? I hope she does; I really want to see her!

I did not listen to Emilie until recently, and I wish I got into her sooner. Amazing voice

Emilie was here quite recently, so I'm not sure how soon she'll be back, there at least a 2 year gap last time.
I wouldn't say Lady Gaga influences, but there are some 80s pop influences on some songs which I suppose could be comparable to Gaga. It's a diverse album, and some passages really do sound like musicals. Then there're songs like Take The Pill which are industrial heavy.
And then there's Girls! Girls! Girls! which is basically a carnival vamp.
