What the hell!?!!?!?!!?! I was SO LOOKING FOREWARD TO SEEING PROPER NIGHTWISH FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER. I got into them in 2007 and I couldnt go to their DPP concert as I had too much stuff on. So annoyed. Why cancel now?! Why not leave it until the end of the tour?! I do know she left the stage in Buenos Areas in DPP as she was upset. Maybe she cant handle big tours But seriously what the hell? Still going to London though. Cant wait to hear Imaginaerum being played live (ie the album no the actuall song )

flytoadream. I got into NW when Tarja was lead singer. Unfortunately a few months later they parted company so I never got to see her live. My only NW live performances were with Annette singing (which were great tbh). It's unfortunate I missed Tarja singing but that's life. So I know how you feel. You can always see Tarja live on her own. She does sing NW songs and her concert in KOKO arena , London last time was fantastic

There was a radio interview with Floor from a Dutch radio. We checked it and legit. Floor was due to replace Anette around Nov/Dev (probably after Harwall) but she got a text on Saturday saying get to USA asap. So looks like Anette and the boys had already discussed things but perhaps Denver push schedule up or Anette's health fears etc etc.

How is it unfair? It was a mutual decision, she was not fired. What I meant was, that if reports are to be believed, it didn't sound as though the band were very sympathetic with her condition. I know 'the show must go on' and all that, but it appears that she wasn't informed of her imminent replacement for the Denver show. She seems to have been very angry at the way things were handled. Anyway, I'm behind Floor, and she sounds like a pretty awesome singer, that would be able to handle any NW song. My best wishes go with Annette on whatever she chooses to do now, and I hope she makes a full recovery.

sorry that Anette has left but floor is an awesome singer and will be a great tour replacement of course she has her own band and album due out in march. That said of course Tommy Karevik covers 2 bands but its way too early to go there. just sad to read some of the comments i have elsewhere in social media. Metal and symphonic metal bands are revolving doors with their artists especially lead singers it happens we have to accept what we can't change and have no influence over and just move on. Still looking foreward to london very much!

I feel a bit heartless for not caring as much as others.
I always preferred Tarja's vocals and found that the symphonic elements made NW more special than other bands. I would never say a bad word about Anette, DPP or Imaginaerum, but I never felt the same way about them as I did things from before that period.
Having watched Floor sing Dark Chest of Wonders on this video:
! I can say I'm actually more excited to see NW now than I was when I figured I was seeing Anette.
NW will always be synonymous with Tuomas for me. Everyone else is replaceable. But some people are better replaced than others. I love all the guys, I love them as a unit, but the magic belongs to Tuomas and NW will be NW because of him, not because of who fronts the band.
(Alex Edit: Just embedding the video... totally because I'm too lazy to copy and paste)

I just wish now that the band or Anette would quell the conspiracy theories and explain better but I guess we will have to wait and see .

I somewhat agree with you, Nikki, but it seems at any time that they would speak on the subject, be it now or later, they will be subject to high criticism (as well as praise, cause there'll be both sides). But, why engage pot-stirrers that just want something to jump on in general, try to make things worse than they are, etc... I'm glad they are not engaging in a response right now and focusing on giving a kick-butt show on this tour and keeping that vibe up. I know it must be hard on them, and I applaud them even more for continuing. From the Youtube postings this week's shows, thus far, the fans in the US sure seem to be very supportive.
I'm guessing there have been many times in the history of music where bands let things fester so far that nothing but an explosion of poison could end it. Doesn't seem to be the case here. And negative energy carrying on and on and on seeps into the vibe of the music to the point that no one, including the fanbase, is happy. So what would the use in that be?
Life happens and some people leave and some people stay. And some things change and change can be good. I look forward to seeing what's coming next! I wish them well and can only hope that they'll continue to survive the pressure of the drama-seekers.
From a business/fan base perspective in the US, there is so much potential for new audiences, which I really hope they get here. Such great music needs to be heard all across the globe!

It'll come out in the fullness of time i suppose, whether they spoke to Floor before they actually agreed with Anette that she would leave. It's a bit like a football manager having replacements lined up behind his back!!
